However, this installation method is not very fast which is why it is preferable to have a Creative Cloud subscription.

If you have already installed Lightroom CC on your PC or Mac and you have an Adobe Creative Cloud account, you don’t need this guide, there is a much faster way to import presets on your iPhone: read this guide otherwise continue.

This guide explains step by step how to import Lightroom presets into your Iphone or Ipad without having an Adobe Creative Cloud account, using the free version of Lightroom.

To import presets on your Iphone or Ipad you need the .DNG image files.

These .DNG image files contain the information you need to create presets.

You simply have to import the .DNG files into your Lightroom App once this is done open each .DNG file and through the 3-dot menu (top right) copy the setting and then save the data by creating a new preset.

Now here we will explain step by step how to import our presets for Lightroom into your Iphone

Let we start!

There are 2 ways to do this for to use the presets in your mobile device:

  1. Method 1 – Sync your presets via Lightroom from desktop using Creative Cloud (paid)
  2. Method 2 – Import the preset .DNG image file to your Free Lightroom Mobile. This method does not require a creative cloud membership.

Now we will tell you about method 2.

1. Download the zip folder

First of all you have to download the zipped folder, with the .DNG files inside, from the e-mail received after payment.

The name of the folder with the dng files is called with a name similar to this [Nomepresetpack – iOS]

Once you have downloaded the zipped folder, you have to open it to extract the .DNG files inside.

To extract you need an app like iZip which can be found here for free

Once the app has been downloaded, open it, search for the zipped folder you just downloaded, click on it and extract – name of this kind [Nomepresetpack – iOS].zip

2. Import presets to the Lightroom App

Once extracted, select all the .DNG files and click on Share (bottom bar); a question will appear on the screen asking you if you want to compress them answer NO.

Once this is done, the list of apps with which to Share will open, choose Lightroom.

Now open Lightroom and you will find the .DNG file image you just imported into the All Photos folder (the root folder) of Lightroom.

3. Now let’s create the presets!

Open the first .DNG file – remember the name of the preset you see written, click on the menu with the 3 dots at the top right and click “Create Preset”

Another screen will open where you will need to give the name of the preset (the name of the preset is the same as you see written in the image, the one I told you to remember in the previous step) and the name of the group.

As group name set the Preset pack name.

Save everything by clicking on the V at the top right.

You need to repeat the last 3 steps for all .DNG image files once all the steps have been completed, always from Lightroom open any of your images, scroll the bar at the bottom until you see Presets and you will find the saved presets ready for use.

P.S. Once you created all presets, to save storage space you can now delete the .dng files from your device the presets will remain available in the app
